Where Faith And Community Join together
“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15-7 nrsvue)
East Lansing
St. Paul Lutheran church
Welcome
We welcome you as a beloved child of God. It doesn’t matter what your age, race, ethnicity, faith, gender identity or expression, marital status, political leanings, neurodivergent status or mental, intellectual or physical ability, in other words, everyone is welcomed just as you are. As a community of the people of God, we are called to minister to all people in our world, knowing that the world is often an unwelcoming place.
Our world can be a place of alienation and brokenness. Christ calls us to reconciliation and wholeness. We strive to love one another as Jesus loves us and to share that love with all others. “For all are one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28)” There is a place for you here and you can make a difference. Our main mission is to feed the community as we also support an organization that assists the homeless to find a place to live. If you are not sure about something, please ask anyone. Again, Welcome!

Since 1974, ReconcilingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation has advocated for the full welcome, inclusion, and equity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church, congregations, and community.
An independent 501(c)3 organization. ReconcilingWorks is an independent non-profit organization funded by the generosity of individuals, faith communities, grants, and from curated resources and trainings. ReconcilingWorks does not receive funding from any Lutheran denomination.

What we believe at st. paul
As a community of the people of God, we are called to minister to all people in our world, knowing that the world is often an unwelcoming place. Our world can be a place of alienation and brokenness. Christ calls us to reconciliation and wholeness. We welcome you regardless of your age, sex, gender-identity, gender-expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, marital status, faith background, socio-economic status, political leaning, mental ability, physical ability, complexities or questions.

who we are
St. Paul Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, worshiping, growing, and serving in East Lansing. A community of students, families, and neighbors gathered around Word and Sacrament, welcoming all whom God brings.

What We Do?
We gather for Christ‑centered worship, preaching, and Holy Communion, and support faith formation for children, youth, and adults. Beyond Sundays, we share life through studies, music, fellowship, and ministries that care for those in need.

Why We Help
We help because God has first loved us in Jesus Christ and sends us to share that love with our neighbors. Fed at Christ’s table, we respond with compassion, hospitality, and service so that God’s mercy and hope are made visible in our community.

We really enjoy the people at St. Paul Lutheran Church. We enjoy the focus on the scripture, plus we have communion every Sunday, other churches we’ve attended haven’t had that.
