St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship

Fellowship in our church I based on Acts 2:42 NRSVUE
“42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

Biblical fellowship is based on the Apostle’s teaching goes beyond meeting together – as we love one another, we care for others as needed and create a safe space, without expecting something in return. When the first Christians lived in community, they shared their possessions and resources so that no one had unmet needs (Acts 4:32-35 NRSVUE). By giving and serving, we strengthen fellowship and follow Christ’s model in caring for people.

They strengthen each of us spiritually. Sharing meals remains a way for believers to open their lives to each other. We share in the real presence of Christ during communion and during other times like sharing food together during fellowship after worship and other special occasions where a meal is served. When we come together in Jesus’ name, while following his teachings, we are united in spirit even if diverse in background or denomination. All are welcome in a safe space. The good news is at St. Paul; we have a place for you where you can join with others and make a difference in the world

Fellowship is a beautiful biblical concept that connects followers of Christ in purpose, faith, and deed. Through exploring fellowship activities, basis, and outcomes, we gain a deeper understanding of God’s design for meaningful relationships in the body of Christ. While fellowship can happen in specific activities like communion and meals, it basically flows from the shared transforming work of the Holy Spirit in believers’ lives. Our common identity in Jesus outweighs differences and makes fellowship possible.

We grow closer when we help, give, and spend time together, whether it’s through communion, sharing a meal, or just being there when someone needs it. It’s about creating a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and like they truly belong.

At the center of it all is our shared faith and what God is doing in each of our lives. Even though we come from different places and backgrounds, we’re brought together through Christ. Fellowship isn’t just about activities—it’s about real relationships and doing life together. There’s a place for everyone, and together we can make a difference.
