Assist With Worship

Many people are needed to help with every worship service. Contact the church office if you are interested in signing up or would like to learn more about any of the following roles:

Assisting Ministers

Assistant Ministers lead part of the service. They also assist with distributing Holy Communion.

Readers

Read the first two scripture readings for the congregation.

Altar Guild

Prepare the altar and Communion elements for service. Also cleans-up Communion trays after worship.

Ushers

Ushers distribute bulletins before the service. They also collect the offering and count the attendance.

Acolyte

Acolytes light and extinguish the candles. Gather the offerings from the ushers and place them on the altar. Also collect empty Communion cups. Usually done by a younger member or child.

Sound System

Manage the volume of microphones during worship and record the sermon for the radio broadcast.

Nursery

Supervise young children in the nursery during service.

Counters

Counters are responsible for the offering after the service. They tabulate the funds, then deliver them to the bank.
